This yoga program is designed for people who have limited mobility and difficulties getting out of bed. We know people dealing with cancer have days where getting out of bed is a challenge. It can be due to chronic pain, fatigue, sleeplessness, depression, nausea and many other reasons. Bed Yoga is a way to build up strength, flexibility and energy from the comfort of your own bed. Many of these exercises will warm the muscles in the body, stretch and energize you, and some may help reduce some pain you may be experiencing. In addition, these exercises may help with constipation, loss of appetite chemo brain, muscle fatigue and muscle loss. And the deep breathing techniques shown in the video may help reduce stress and anxiety. No equipment is needed for this series.
