Early menopause from breast cancer treatment is a difficult symptom to deal with to say the least. Young women are facing challenges that they did not expect at this point in their lives. In this video from our friends over at Living Beyond Breast Cancer, young breast cancer survivors talk about the most bothersome issues of premature menopause and how they managed this common side effect of breast cancer treatment. Each woman faces their own distinct breast cancer journey, so each survivor’s symptoms may vary, but it helps to hear how these women faced the challenges when thrown into the unfamiliar world of early menopause. As with all of the videos in the “Let’s Talk About It” series, courageous women share their stories and experiences to “pay it forward”. If we can learn from those who have gone through it, we can pave the path and help others have an easier road by hearing the experiences of others.
