In our meditation video series, we would like to introduce you to the level two Fire Breath & Counting level two meditation. For some individuals, making a sound with their breath and counting silently or mentally helps quiet their normally busy mind. Fire breathing and mentally counting help cultivate the deeper meditative state required for extended water breathing meditation. The fire breath is also great for falling asleep. The Fire Breath and Counting Meditation is a way to distract the mind from thoughts through focusing on the task at hand. The Fire Breath, as well as Counting in your Head, is not as deep of a meditation as the water breath meditation but it is a great start and a stepping stone for some individuals. Over time you can incorporate the Water Breath or “Lower Energy Visualization Meditation” into this practice. This meditation can be performed while sitting or standing.
