As we progress in our video series on meditation, we would like to introduce you to the level two, “self-sound & vibration meditation.” Through these meditations, you learn how to use 3 sounds … Mmm… Hhaa… & Ong… to capture your thoughts and generate physical vibrations in and around different, important parts of your body and energy centers. The Mmm… sound vibrates your entire skull, particularly the brain, the Hhaa… sound vibrates the throat area and the Ong… sound vibrates the sternum, heart and lung area. These 3 sounds are also used in martial arts meditation to train the lungs. The Self-Sounds meditations are more difficult than the candle or listening to external sound meditations because you need to find your personal pitch when making the sounds. These meditations can be done sitting or standing.
