In this video, Claire Willis (LICSW) considers the challenges of gaining control of negative thoughts and the fearful mind which often accompany cancer. It is important to gain some measure of control over what we think about. In many cases, thoughts can lead to dark places and dominate one’s mood and, in cancer patients and survivors, the emotional battle can be just as difficult as the physical one; so, it’s vital to have some control over your thoughts. Finally, in this video, Claire introduces us to an exercise of repeating a positive mantra that helps our mind focus on the positive attributes in one’s life.
